What a great site this is. I just happened on it. My name is Donna and I live in one of the hottest cities in the U.S....Houston. Can't say I care for it too much either. I was promoted within my company and the promotion required a move to Houston. We used to live in the country about 45 minutes east of Dallas. Loved it there, but we had to move where the $$$ were.

I'm really glad to know that I am not the only person who finds buttons fascinating. When my mother died she left me her button box. This box has buttons inside that date back to the 30s and 40s, at least that is what Mama told me and before she passed away she put a note in the box of buttons. I used to love to gaze at these buttons when I was a child (I'm 49 now)...LOL So you see, some of these buttons are very very old. Would love to chat with some of you some time.
