So, maybe you adore vintage buttons and you even have an impressive collection of them. But have you ever thought of attending an antiques show that features them? Chances are there is a show that will arrive in your area in the near future and here's why you shouldn't miss out on the great opportunity to attend one!

First of all, if you have an interest in vintage buttons, you probably value knowledge about antiques. At antiques shows, you will be able to interact with experts on vintage buttons and there is no doubt that you will leave the show with a head packed full of new information. It's one thing to pick up a few books about vintage buttons, but it's a whole other thing to get out there and get up close and personal with them and their owners – it's a truly enlightening experience that will just increase your love of antiques. Reading books and articles about antiques is interesting, but talking to the experts and studying antique items that sit right in front is a lot more engaging!

Secondly, antiques shows are a great way to meet people who share your interest. In addition to going home with a new knowledge bank and love of vintage buttons, you will probably have more than a few new friends as well. The only problem with having a hobby that revolves around something as specific as vintage buttons is that it's sometimes hard to connect with people who are like you. Antiques shows help you get around this curve very easily and force you to meet fellow antique button lovers!

Another glaring benefit, of course, to attending a show that has vintage buttons is that you can increase your collection. Whether you're just browsing or shopping, an antiques show is a great place to buy new vintage buttons. You get to talk one on one with sellers, negotiate prices, and best of all – you can be assured you're investing in the real thing.

Antiques shows are an educational and fun experience and if you don't want your love of vintage buttons to grow stale, then it's a good idea to attend one. Even if you don't know much about buttons or antiques in general, a show will open you up culturally and might even encourage you to embrace a new hobby. Thanks to the Internet, you can find out right away when the next antiques show will be in your area!
